As we get closer to the election polls, citizens want the two Presidential candidates to listen closely to the voice of America. Watch this great video calling out to the next President of the USA to set an example regarding climate change by planting a organic garden in the White House.
Sarah Palin Has Come Under the Radar For Primping
Americans are clearly not used to seeing a woman run for the second highest political office in the country. Notwithstanding the huge uproar about all that she has spent on her clothing, would GOP voters really want to see her show up at the campaign trail in her woolly fleece from Alaska? Of course not! It would be a colossal let down for the Republican Party’s image.
With all the criticism flying around about how no candidate ever before has spent the party’s money to primp, has anybody considered that no candidate ever before was a woman? Women need to primp. Isn’t this one of the oldest known and truest cliches that exist in our society?
Five weeks ago when Sarah Palin showed up on America’s political front page, all I could think and see was Tina Fey’s new material for sketch comedy. Read my thoughts instantly, my husband said to me, “Aren’t you just look forward to Saturday Night Live Now?”
Just a few weeks later, it has all come to life. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did an amazing rendition of Hilary Clinton and Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago…on ‘hell’ weekend, right before Lehman Brothers went into bankruptcy. And then last night’s Saturday Night Live sketch about the vice presidential debate starring QueenLatifah as debate moderator Gwen Ifill and Tina Fey reprising her role as Governor Sarah Palin, just took the cake! For those of you who missed it, click here to see the video. An article in today’s New York Times entitled ‘Top Things Heard At A Palin Debate Camp’ included someone saying “Can Tina Fey just do the debate?”
Who do you think actually takes a stronger stand on Global Warming? Although both Biden and Palin want to address the issue, in the Vice Presidential debates, they seemed to be coming from different points of view.
I have to admit, my main reason for watching tonight’s debate was that I didn’t want to miss the entertainment, but the as it turns out, I was fully engrossed. Much as I was expecting Sarah Palin to be walked all over by Joe Biden, I was pleasantly surprised at how she handled the questions and the attack.
I am not sure whether to laugh or to cry about the fact that with everything going on in the world, CNN has nothing better to do than report on Asif Ali Zardari’s flirtation with Sarah Palin.
